Retinavue Ordering
This articles purpose is to demonstrate the preferred workflow to order retinal eye exams as point of care tests in clinic. This workflow is relevant to CMA's, MA's, CDS's, CMRN's and Providers.
Ordering Retinal Eye Exam OUTSIDE of an in-office encounter.
Please note, ordering the exam within an encounter is a very similar workflow. See instructions 6-12.
1. Search patient
2. Go to "Chart"
3. Go to "Toolbar"
or "hamburger" icon
4. Go to "Create Order Group" 
5. Search by given ordering provider. 
6. In "Orders" select the
button
7. Search "Retinavue"
and select the given order set.
8. Select the
button attached to the order set.
9. Seach and select appropriate diagnosis. Note: most used diagnosis codes are E11.9 and E10.9.
10. Ensure appropriate source populated "Retinavue Network" 
11. Select "Sign Orders" 
12. You have now successfully ordered the appropriate retinal eye exam.
Interfacing Retinal Eye Exam to Retinavue Machine
1. Go to patient's chart.
2. Go to "Outstanding orders" 
3. Select "photo, eye, retina (submitted)" order with the appropriate date of entry.
4. Select "View Actions" 
5. Select "Submit by Interface"
and select "save".
6. You have now successfully submitted the retinal eye exam to the Retinavue machine.
